סִיפִּיּוּת – נישאת על גלי הזמן

תערוכת יחיד של הדס בכר, אמנית ויוצרת רב תחומית, שעוסקת במגוון רחב של טכניקות באמנות הפלסטית. היא משלבת בין וידאו ארט, פרפורמנס ארט, צילום, ציור במדיה מעורבת וקולאז'. בעבודותיה היא חוקרת חומרים טבעיים מגוונים.
ביצירתה, הדס, שואבת מהביוגרפיה האישית ומחיי היום יום שלה, ובאמצעות דימויים חוזרים היא מעבדת תהליכים נפשיים וחוויות שנטמעו בזיכרון ובתת-המודע. יצירתה כמו מדיטציונית, תהליכית, בה הדימויים שבים וחוזרים על עצמם, מתגלגלים עם כתב ידה, מתהווים ומתפרקים וחוזר חלילה.
"סִיפִּיּוּת", בלועזית: לימינליות. שם התערוכה שואב ממשמעות המונח סיפיות בפסיכולוגיה ובאנתרופולוגיה, שמתייחס למצב הפיזי, הרגשי, או המטאפורי בו נמצאים בזמן תקופות מעבר בין מה שמסתיים לבין מה שיקרה בהמשך. מצב שמאופיין בחוסר בהירות, חוסר-אוריינטציה, הזהות העצמית מעורערת, מצב שבו הגבולות הרגילים של המחשבה וההתנהגות קצת משוחררים, ופותחים את הדרך למשהו חדש.
בתערוכה שלפנינו מוצגות עבודות משתי סדרות, "תנועה בחלל" ו"סיפיות", באמצעותן הדס מציעה מטאפורה ויזואלית להוויה במצבי סיפיות.
בסדרת "תנועה בחלל" הדס, עוצרת את התנועה, מקפיאה רגע אחד בתנועת ריקוד הפלמנקו, מנתקת אותו ומנכיחה אותו. הצופה נותר עם ההטבעה של האנרגיה ושל עוצמת הרגש שהותירה התנועה, מעיין חותמת חום של מה שהיה וחלף.
הסדרה "סיפיות" עוסקת בדימויי סירת מפרשים. הסירות מצוירות כמעט שקופות, פריכות ועדינות, או מורכבות מחלקי נייר דקיקים. לעיתים חלקיהן מרחפים זה לצד זה, נוגעים לא נוגעים ועם זאת מהווים שלם אחד משמעותי מסך חלקיו. דימוי הסירה של הדס, חידתי, מנותק מהמים, הסירה מרחפת במרחב ספי, נאחזת באוויר, נישאת על גלי הזמן, בתווך בין מוצא ליעד, בין עבר לעתיד, בין שמים לים.
הבחירה במוטיב הסירה, מחברת את הצופה, למשמעויות המגוונות שיש לדימוי שכיח זה בסיפורים המיתולוגים ובאמנות. במיתולוגיה, כלי שיט מייצגים הגנה והכלה במסעות פיזיים ומיסטיים כאחד, למשל בהעברת נשמות אל עולמות נסתרים. באמנות כמו בציורים בזרם הרומנטי מהמאה ה-19, נמצא תיאורי מסעות ימיים שעסקו באפסות האדם מול איתני הטבע, מנותק מהיבשה, מהחברה, בהתמודדותו עם קשיים וגילוי עצמי. באמנות הישראלית, מופיע דימוי הספינה במגוון הקשרים ומשתנה לאורך התקופות, החל מתיאורי סירות דייגים ססגוניות, דרך ספינות הטראומה של פליטי השואה, ועד לשנות האלפיים בהן עסקו במוטיב זה בהקשרים שנשאו משמעויות פוליטיות של בדידות ואבדון. אספקט שמעלה רובד קריאה נוסף לדימוי בתערוכה שלפנינו לאור המצב הפוליטי והחברתי שבו אנו מצויים בתקופה זאת.
התערוכה "סיפיות, נישאת על גלי הזמן" מציגה את מסע הגילוי האמנותי של הדס בכר בנושא מצבי מעבר, מתוך חוויותיה האישיות והסמליות האוניברסלית שלהם, כנרטיב של מאבק בין שבריריות לחוסן, בין שינוי ופרידה להיאחזות בקיים במסע החיים.
LIMINALITY – Carried by the Waves of Time

Presenting a solo exhibition, multidisciplinary artist Hadas Bachar delves into various plastic arts, combining video, performance, photography, painting, and collages. Her creations are imbued with diverse natural materials.
Her art draw inspiration from her autobiographical and day-to-day life experiences. Using recurring themes, in a meditational like manner, she processes those experiences that are woven into her memories and subconsciousness.
"Liminality", rooted in psychology and anthropology, characterizes the uncertain phase of a rite of passage where individuals stand between old and new identities, fostering openness, adaptability, and transformative thinking.
The exhibition showcases two series: "Movement in Space" and "Liminality", where Hadas employs visual metaphors to explore liminality, varied states of consciousness, and paths of self-discovery. In "Movement in Space", she captures a singular flamenco gesture in a photograph, imprinting its energy onto paper, preserving the emotion long after it fades.
In the "Liminality" series, sailboats emerge as a central motif. Crafted from delicate paper or painted with translucent nuances, Hadas' boats epitomize fragility and freedom. Their components flutter side by side, forming a cohesive yet delicate whole. This boat imagery holds an enigmatic quality, detached from water, rising and falling on the waves of time, in between origin and destination, between the past and the future, between the sky and the sea.
The boat's symbolism draws viewers into the mythological and artistic realm, where sailing vessels represent protection on both physical and mystical journeys, like soul passages to hidden realms. Throughout art history, boats have conveyed profound messages, embodying vulnerability against nature's might in 19th-century romantic paintings, and representing detachment from societal norms as travelers navigate treacherous waters. In Israeli art, boats encapsulate a range of themes, from diverse fishing vessels to ships carrying Holocaust survivors. Contemporary Israeli artworks featuring seafaring vessels often convey pessimistic political notions, matching the current tumultuous national circumstances during this exhibition.
"Liminality: Carried by the Waves of Time" brings forth Hadas Bachar's artistic exploration of transitional states, weaving personal experiences and universal symbolism into a captivating narrative of change, fragility, and resilience.
